It's more than a phone call on a Sunday night - Aftercare can make or break a scene. What little bit of information on aftercare you can find usually runs to either; call the bottom a couple days later or soak in a bubble bath together and light aromatherapy candles. This workshop will include information about the effect of play on the brain and the body during and after the scene for both the top and the bottom, specific techniques for resolving the "bottom crash" and "top drop" that happen immediately after play and in the days that follow a scene. We will also cover techniques for using your aftercare experience to enhance your next scene.

We all have that voice inside, the one that can take anything about ourselves or something that we did or something we plan to do and transform it into something terribly wrong or bad. That inner dialogue that shows up just as we are about to embark on a new project or challenge. We all have an inner voice that speaks to us consciously and unconsciously all the time. When our inner voice becomes toxic, it can have a crippling effect on Dominance, ultimately impairing the strength and vitality of M/s or Dom/sub relationships. We will explore how to identify and unmask the inner critic and how to then use that energy in a positive way to transform, expand and re-energize our Dominance.

Communication is the foundation of any good relationship, but communicating inability or fear of inability to serve poses special challenges for slaves. Sometimes this may be due to illness, fatigue or mood that can be easily dealt with, but at other times inability results from deeper emotional or psychological scars that may demand more accommodation within the M/s dynamic. Slaves are encouraged to discuss instances where they found themselves unable or unwilling to fulfill a Master's orders and how the Master responded to this situation.

How do we navigate the waters of consent in our relationships and play? Some of our relationships specifically negotiate consent in ways that can have serious consequences in the legal world. NCSF's project _Consent Counts_ is working on 2 fronts to address the issues of consent in our community. The first is to educate our own community about the realities of consent in our relationships and play. The second is a focused effort in a 10 year plan todecriminalize BDSM.  We may always be sexual outlaws; but we don't need to be criminals any more.  Come participate in a discussion about consent and its consequences.

Since Eve, women have been seen as using their sexual power to seduce, enchant, enthrall, control, tame, tempt, manipulate, and pacify men.  Often this is seen as a deeply unconsciously tendency buried in female sexuality and psyche.  In M/s SM dynamics it is generally acceptable (indeed desirable) for a female Master to use her sexuality to control a slave (male or female).  The opposite holds for a female slave, yet, female slaves can be seductive and often do use their sexuality subtly (or not so subtly) to manipulate the M/s SM dynamic.
